Commenting on the news Andrew Peacock, Technical Director for Energyflo, said: “The addition of dynamic partial fill insulation to SAP Q is a very welcome development. It means that dynamic insulation can be used by housebuilders and designers all over the country, including high exposure areas such as Wales, Cornwall and Scotland where full fill cavity is not certified for use by the NHBC (National Housebuilding Council).

“The new build partial fill project recently completed by Lovell Partnerships found the performance of dynamic insulation to exceeded that predicted using the SAP Appendix Q methodology.”

Stuart James, Regional Buyer from Lovell, said: “The findings of the monitoring report provide tangible evidence that we made the right choice with Jablite Dynamic insulation and we see this as a viable solution in the future for achieving our energy performance targets.”The Lovell Partnerships’ house in Bassaleg, South Wales is a new build semi-detached Raglan dwelling. A 26m2 wall (34% of the property’s entire wall area) has Jablite Dynamic insulation installed and has averaged a U-value of 0.081W/m”k.  This is 26% better than the 0.11W/m”k that was expected using the SAP Appendix Q calculation method.
